Laura Elliott

Laura Elliott

Managing Director, Head of Fixed Income

Laura Elliott helped co-found InspereX’s predecessor firm Incapital in 1999. As Co-Head of InspereX’s Fixed Income division, she specializes in business development and relationships with the firm’s top-tier clients.

 

Previously, Ms. Elliott worked at ABN AMRO as Syndicate Manager for the GMAC SmartNotes program, responsible for all dealer relationships. Prior to ABN AMRO, she was at Mesirow Financial for nine years, working consecutively in compliance, retail and institutional sales, and high-yield trading.

 

Ms. Elliott earned her BS in education from the University of Alabama and currently serves on the President’s Cabinet at the university. She has served as a member of the Bond Dealers of America board and the SIFMA Retail Fixed Income committee. She belongs to the Women’s Syndicate Association and the Security Traders Association of Chicago.


George Holstead

George Holstead

Managing Director, Head of Fixed Income

George Holstead is Co-Head of InspereX’s Fixed Income division, encompassing all fixed income trading, dealer and institutional sales, and the capital markets practice, including debt and equity syndicate businesses, and the firm’s industry-leading InterNotes program, offering individual investors access to new issue corporate debt offerings.

 

Mr. Holstead joined InspereX in 2019, bringing more than two decades of sales experience coupled with a track record of establishing and expanding highly successful fixed income divisions for large regional broker-dealers such as Raymond James and Sterne Agee. Prior to InspereX, he was a managing director at Brean Capital, where he was responsible for the build-out of the Middle Market and Financial Institutions Group.

 

A graduate of Texas Wesleyan University, Mr. Holstead holds FINRA Series 7, 9, 10, 24, and 63 licenses.

Jeff Stanley

Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, Fixed Income

Jeff Stanley serves as Chief Operating Officer for InspereX’s Fixed Income division, overseeing business intelligence and data integration. Mr. Stanley has built his career on running efficient operations within fixed income capital markets. Prior to joining InspereX in 2020, he led the operations of fixed income capital markets at D.A. Davidson Companies for eight years. Mr. Stanley holds a Master of Business Administration from Rollins College and a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Stetson University. He holds Series 7, 24, 52, 53, 57, and 63 FINRA licenses.

Tom Lockard

Tom Lockard

Managing Director, Head of Municipal Finance

Tom Lockard is an original co-founder of 280 CapMarkets in 2016 and now leads InspereX’s municipal finance team. His areas of expertise include state and local government, non-profit, affordable housing, and public infrastructure finance. Prior to joining InspereX, he served as Vice President for real estate and investments at Fundrise and as Managing Director at Stone & Youngberg, where he structured and underwrote an estimated $6 billion in new issue municipals over 30 years. Mr. Lockard is on the board of the Salesian Boys’ & Girls’ Club and is a member of the Stanford Real Estate Council. He earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Public Management from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, a Master of Arts in Public Policy Analysis from Claremont Graduate University, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Stanford University.


Jodi Waber

Jodi Waber

Managing Director and Head of Sustainable Finance

Jodi is a Managing Director and the Head of Sustainable Finance in the firm’s Capital Markets department. She has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry with a background in the capital markets, syndicate, and fixed income trading. Her current focus is fixed income placement across sectors, and she covers many of InspereX’s programmatic debt issuers. She co-led the creation of the firm’s impact investment platform. Key issuers she has brought to the firm’s programmatic debt issuance platform include Capital Impact Partners, Century Housing, International Finance Corporation, Local Initiatives Support Corporation, and the World Bank. Prior to joining InspereX, Ms. Waber was the Head of Private Equity Business Development for a family office and a U.S. Agency bond trader for LaSalle/ABN AMRO. She earned a BA from Duke University and an MBA from the University of Miami.


Brian Walker

Brian Walker

Managing Director, Head of Retail Notes

Brian Walker coordinates InspereX’s debt issuance efforts with corporate note issuers, from relationship management to marketing strategy design. Prior to joining InspereX, he was with General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC) for 12 years, where he served in a variety of debt funding roles, including asset-backed securities, MTNs, global corporate notes, and swaps. Mr. Walker managed GMAC retail funding initiatives, which included direct responsibility for pricing, marketing, sales, and operations for GMAC’s medium- and short-term fixed income product programs. He directed numerous bond marketing initiatives that included internal product cross-marketing and external awareness efforts. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Alma College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, 79, and 99 licenses.

Alex Buchler

Managing Director, Institutional Sales

Alex Buchler is a 25-year veteran of institutional fixed income sales and trading. He brings his energy and expertise to InspereX to lead BondNav Internal Sales Development, helping institutional investors find opportunities and access liquidity via the firm’s technology platform. Prior to joining InspereX’s predecessor firm 280 CapMarkets in 2018, Mr. Buchler spent 15 combined years as Managing Director at Baird and RBC Capital Markets. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Minnesota and his Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of San Francisco. He holds Series 7, 24, and 63 FINRA licenses.


John Tolar

John Tolar

Managing Director, Head of Fixed Income Sales

John Tolar oversees InspereX’s Dealer Sales and Institutional Sales teams, including all efforts to bring InterNotes corporate debt, U.S. agencies, CDs, corporates, mortgage- and asset-backed securities, preferred stock, and municipal bonds to broker-dealers, institutional investors, registered investment advisors, and banks. He has been with the firm since 2003. Previously, Mr. Tolar held sales roles at Countrywide Securities and FTN Financial, and worked as a Portfolio Manager for SunTrust Bank. He earned a BS in business from Florida State University and holds Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.

Denton Jacobs

Lead Software Architect, Fixed Income

Denton Jacobs serves as Lead Software Architect for InspereX’s Fixed Income division, leading all engineering efforts related to the firm's proprietary online issuer interface, as well as other fixed income applications. Mr. Jacobs joined the firm in 2011 and after a short stint with Guggenheim Partners, rejoined in 2016 and has been instrumental in powering the firm’s broad distribution. Prior to InspereX, he was a Senior Consultant at West Monroe Partners. Mr. Jacobs graduated from DePauw University with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Religious Studies. He is currently enrolled at the University of Chicago to earn a Master of Science in Financial Mathematics. He holds Series 7 and 63 FINRA licenses.


Claude Seide

Claude Seide

Managing Director, Taxable Trading

Claude Seide oversees InspereX’s taxable fixed income trading desks, serves as the firm’s senior U.S. Agency trader, and provides market commentary to help clients navigate the markets. Prior to joining InspereX in 2016, Mr. Seide was Executive Director of Agency trading at Stifel Nicolaus. In previous positions, he served as a Senior Term Funding Officer for the Federal Home Loan Banks Office of Finance and began his career in fixed income sales at Bear Stearns in 2001. Mr. Seide earned a BS in economics from the University of Massachusetts and holds Series 7 and 63 licenses. He is also involved in various charities and currently chairs the InspereX Diversity and Inclusion Council.
